Where did Cedar Side come from?

When I was growing up, my mother would instruct guests to “park on the Cedar side” of our house, which sat on the corner of two streets- one of which was named Cedar Street. Since then, “Cedar Side” has lived in my mind as an expression of welcoming exciting new experiences into our lives. As my mother welcomed our guests, I now welcome you to Cedar Side.
